Yasmin Ghaemmaghami is an Iranian-American artist and writer based in Berlin.

She uses a variety of mediums, including photography, performance, sculpture, drawing, painting, and video, as vessels for the quest of foraging the essence of things. Her work finds new approaches to intimacy and incorporation, treating the subject, whether human or nonhuman, as a worthy investigation with a “seed of spirit within.” Ghaemmaghami’s work embraces and remembers the process as well as a lifelong artist research practice. She conducts focused studies, weaving a strong web of connections between the topics she investigates.
